15FEB2024 | DAY 02 | Walking into the sanctuary for the observance of Ash Wednesday, once again, I encountered the tangible reality that nothing great, nothing transformative, nothing intentional happens without a great deal of preparation…as I approached the altar, I confronted one of the essential realities of the Lenten season - the reality of the gift of these 40 days to intentionally prepare for the empty tomb - and accepting the invitation to do the sacred, holy, uncomfortable, liberating work of repentance…and amid the Church finding hope in knowing the Church does this together, for none of us is called to Easter via a solo journey…
