A Big Misunderstanding
"So, how was your Easter?"
It's a question that's perfectly natural for this week, but, like Christmas, it's an incorrect question to be asked.
It's incorrect, for Easter is far more than a day.
Specifically, Easter is a season in the Christian year that stretches from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday. During this season, we are called to explore the joy of the resurrection and the implications of the risen Christ on our day-to-day lives.
However, I want to challenge all of us to look at Easter not as a day, or even a season, but a way of life. A way of life where death has no victory, death has no sting, for we live as people of hopeful anticipation.
Grace and Peace, Lamar
